NORMAN, Okla. -- The 2010 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship will be hosted by Oklahoma at the Howard McCasland Field House in Norman on April 3 at 7 p.m.
This year's conference race looks to be strong once again for the second-ranked Sooners with No. 1 Stanford, No. 8 California, No. 10 Nebraska, and No. 12 Air Force all looking to deny OU's chances to win its 18 conference championship.
Oklahoma will be seeking its 10th conference title out of the last 12 years as it won the last conference title in Norman in 2005. The Sooners have also tallied 30 individual MPSF conference championships under Williams.
In 2009, the Sooners finished second at the MPSF Championship at Stanford and claimed one team event title (vault), while junior
Steven Legendre finished first on vault. Oklahoma won four consecutive conference titles from 2008-2005 and eight of the last 10.
OU recently won at Penn State University finishing the regular season with an 11-1 mark with eight victories against top-10 opponents. The Sooners claimed every all-around title in the regular season with Legendre (3), Dalton (3), Alex Naddour (1) and Ian Jackson (1) all winning titles.

A LOOK BACK AT LAST WEEK
The second-ranked OU men's gymnastics team completed the regular season with a win over eighth-ranked Penn State at the Rec Hall in College Park, Pa. OU finished the regular season with an 11-1 mark with eight victories against top-10 opponents
OU finished with top scores on four out of the six team events on floor (61.250), pommel horse (58.450), vault (64.500) and parallel bars (58.500).

CONSISTENT ON POMMEL The Sooners regular season finale was highlighted with freshman Alex Naddour shattering his own record on pommel horse with a score of 15.700. This is the third time that Naddour has broken the program record on the apparatus with the previous high score of 15.400. Naddour is currently ranked fourth in the nation on the apparatus with a average score of 15.200.
LEGENDRE ON TOP OF ALL-AROUND STANDINGS
After leading the Sooners with three of the last five all-around titles against Nebraska, Stanford, Minnesota and Ohio State, junior
Steven Legendre is atop the current national all-around standings with a average score of 88.483.
The three all-around titles of the season have included scores of 89.500 (Minnesota) and 88.850 (Nebraska, Stanford) and 89.500 (Ohio State). Legendre has claimed eight all-around titles in his career, including the 2009 NCAA National All-Around title.
The Port Jefferson, N.Y., native has now also eclipsed 50 event titles mark in his career at OU with 13 of those being collected during the 2010 season.
THREE IN THE ALL-AROUND The Sooners have three gymnasts in the top 10 of the national all-around standings. Junior
Steven Legendre is currently the top rated gymnast in the nation with an average score of 88.483.
Freshman Jacob Dalton follows Legendre at the second spot with an average score of 88.183. Dalton has claimed three all-around titles this year.
Fellow freshman teammate, Alex Naddour, cracked the top 10 in the all around standings for the first time this year with an average score of 86.533.
The Sooners have claimed every all-around title this season with Legendre (3), Dalton (3), Alex Naddour and Ian Jackson (1) all winning titles.
SOONERS IN THE RANKINGS Oklahoma currently has the top gymnasts on vault and floor. Junior
Steven Legendre is the leader on floor with a average score of 16.033, while freshman Jacob Dalton leads on vault with a average score of 16.167. The Sooners have at least three gymnasts ranked in the top 15 on each apparatus.
AN ALL-AROUND TEAM This season, OU has been ranked in the top three in the nation on all six events while hold¬ing the top spot on three events (floor, vault, parallel bars).
