IRVING, Texas – University of Oklahoma senior gymnast Hollie Vise was named Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week on Monday after her record-setting performance in OU's victory over top-ranked Alabama.

Vise posted career highs on bars (9.925), beam (9.95) and floor (9.925), leading the Sooners to their first win over a No. 1 opponent in program history with the 197.950-197.275 victory.

The Dallas native won event titles on bars and beam, as the Sooners posted the highest score in the NCAA this season and the best by a Big 12 squad since Nebraska and Iowa State ended a March 14, 2004, dual deadlocked at 198.000 apiece.

Vise leads the Big 12 on beam and bars, and ranks first and third, respectively, on those two events in the latest NCAA rankings.

Vise and the Sooners return to action on March 12 against No. 25 Washington at Lloyd Noble.  It's “Senior Night” on Friday, as Vise, Jackie Flanery, Julie Kramer, Mary Mantle and Kristin Smith are competing at home for the final time during their OU careers.  The group has reeled off back-to-back Big 12 titles and led Oklahoma to the NCAA Championships all four seasons.
