Mueller Claims Second Straight WOGA Stroke Play Title

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma women's golf team shot a 317 (+29) during Saturday's second round of the 17-team Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational and stands in 16th place with one round left at the par-72 University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.

UCLA paces an extremely competitive field which features 15 teams ranked in Golfweek's top 50.  The Bruins lead second-place Arizona (586) by one stroke and third-place Texas A&M by four shots.  UCLA's Stephanie Kono paces the tournament individually with a two-round 142 (-2).
 
Junior Ellen Mueller leads the Sooners in a tie for 25th place after shooting a 77 (+5) Saturday.  Mueller, who entered the day in a tie for 12th place, holds a two-round score of 151 (+7).

Five strokes back of Mueller is senior Andrea Sellmeyer, who replicated her opening-round effort with a 78 (+6) on Saturday.  She stands tied for 51st place with a 36-hole score of 156 (+12).  Freshman Taylor Schmidt recorded a second-round 80 (+8), an improvement upon her first-round 83 (+11).  Schmidt stands in 81st place with a 163 (+19). 
 
Sophomore Brooke Collins carded a second-round 87 (+15) to give her a 36-hole score of 165 (+21) for 83rd place.  Senior Chelsey Collins shot an 82 (+10) Saturday and is tied for 86th place with a 168 (+24).
