NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma men's gymnastics team regained the top spot in the GymInfo poll released on Tuesday. OU vaulted to the No. 1 ranking after topping then-No. 8 Penn State last weekend. The win was the Sooners' eighth over a top 10 opponent this season.
Oklahoma moves into the post-season play hosting the MPSF Conference Championship in Norman at McCasland Field House, April 3. The meet will feature four teams in the top 10 (No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Stanford, No. 8 Cal, No. 10 Nebraska) and No. 12 Air Force.
This week's rankings mark the second time this season that OU has held the top spot. The Sooners began the year ranked No. 4 in the preseason but was atop the list for one week (March 1).
