NORMAN, Okla. - The ninth-ranked University of Oklahoma wrestling team (15-2-1, 2-1-1) makes its final regular season appearance at home this Sunday, Feb. 14 by hosting No. 15 Oregon State (18-2) inside the Howard McCasland Field House at 2 p.m.
The Sooners will attempt to knock off their sixth top 20 team this season against the Beavers. A victory would also give Oklahoma its 16th dual win of year for the second straight season.
Additionally, Sunday's match marks the last at home for seniors Eric Lapotsky, Chad Terry, Kyle Terry and Shane Vernon. The four, who have combined for 235 career wins at Oklahoma, will be honored prior to the dual.
Oklahoma, who is coming off of a 33-3 victory over Chattanooga Friday evening, owns a 13-4 advantage in the all-time series against Oregon State, with the last meeting coming in 2005 when the Sooners handed the Beavers a 36-6 defeat.
In addition to senior night festivities, the first 250 fans to enter the match will receive an OU rally towel. Admission is free to the public with doors scheduled to open at 1 p.m.

Eight Sooners are ranked this week in InterMat's Top 20 individual rankings, led by third-ranked Zack Bailey at 141 pounds and Kyle Terry at 149 pounds. Also slotted in the top 10 is No. 6 Eric Lapotsky wrestling at 197 pounds. Senior
Shane Vernon is twelfth in the 157-pound weight class, and a trio of Sooners - Tyler Caldwell (165 pounds), Jeff James (174) and Nathan Fernandez (HWT) - is ranked No. 15. True-freshman Jarrod Patterson rounds out the list with a No. 18 ranking at 125 pounds.
Oregon State counters with six ranked this week, led by No. 9 Colby Covington at 174 pounds. Keegan Davis is 13th at 157 pounds and Clayton Jack is No. 14 at heavyweight. Jason Lara is No. 15 at 125 pounds, followed by No. 16 Kelly Kubec and No. 17 RJ Pena at 133 and 149 pounds, respectively.

YOUNG PUPS
The Sooners will fire three true freshmen -- Jarrod Patterson, Kendric Maple and Tyler Caldwell -- onto the mat Sunday against the Beavers. The trio were a part of the nation's No. 2 recruiting class last season and are an impressive 77-26 overall on the season. Additionally, redshirt freshman Erich Schmidtke starts at 184 pounds for OU.
SPATES TOUGH AT HOME
Sooner head coach Jack Spates' career mark at home stands at 89-27-3 (.786) now in his 17th season in Norman, including a 5-1-1 record this season.
ANOTHER TOP CLASS HEADED TO NORMAN
Oklahoma wrestling coach Jack Spates recently signed nine high school seniors to National Letters of Intent, including four ranked in the top 12 nationally in their respective weight classes by Intermat and five from the state of Oklahoma.
Leading ranked recruits is Kyle Colling from Yorkshire, N.Y., ranked No. 4 nationally among 215 pounders. Colling's accomplishments include a New York state title and champion at High School Nationals.
Jenks, Okla., product Justin Deangelis, a two-time state champion and Junior National All-American, is seventh in the 145 pound division and Stilwell, Kan., native Parker Madl is 11th at 171 pounds. Madl is a Kansas state champion and a Junior National All-American.
Ronnie Balfour, an Oklahoma state champion and Junior National All-American, from Tulsa, Okla., rounds out the group ranked No. 12 among 160 pounders.
Other Oklahomans joining the roster next season are Dustin Reed from Choctaw, Pawhuska native Dax Perrier and Quincy Mondaine from Muskogee. All three have earned runner-up finishes at the Oklahoma state championships.
The class is completed with the signings of Sean Datte from Las Flores, Calif., and Chase Gordon of Oveido, Fla. Gordon joins the Sooners as a Florida state champion and Junior Nationals runner-up.
