NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma will provide its most extensive signing day coverage ever when it announces the Sooners' new football prospects this Wednesday on National Letter of Intent Signing Day.
As in recent years, the coverage will be focused on SoonerSports.com, but for 2010 a television show has been added to recap the day.
The coverage is sponsored by Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance.
At 2:30 p.m., Cox will carry a special signing day show produced by SoonerVision. Oklahoma Head Coach Bob Stoops, OU Defensive Coordinator Brent Venables and OU Offensive Coordinator Kevin Wilson will appear on the program. The half-hour show will air on Cox local access channels in both Oklahoma City (7) and Tulsa (3).
Throughout the day, SoonerSports.com will offer the most accurate and up-to-date news on official signees.
Jason Matheson, director of internet services for the OU Athletics Department, will be located at the Switzer Center along with members of the recruiting and compliance staffs. When a letter of intent is received and deemed official, Matheson will immediately post the signee to SoonerSports.com along with biographical information and video highlights.
Each signee will also be posted to the OU Athletics Department's
Twitter feed and
Facebook page, while AT&T customers who have signed up for service will receive
text alerts.
Premium subscribers to SoonerSports.com's All-Access platform will see a live web show on the site during the morning hours. The shows four segments, at 8, 8:30, 9 and 9:30 a.m., will feature members of the OU coaching staff commenting on the most recent signees.
Highlights of the new Sooners will run on a continuous loop between the show's four segments.
