Three Sooners on Academic All-District Team

NORMAN, Okla. -- Three members of the University of Oklahoma's football team have been named to the ESPN Academic All-District VI team.
The thee are offensive lineman Brian Lepak, defensive tackle Jamarkus McFarland and cornerback Demontre Hurst.
Lepak, a senior from Claremore, Okla., carries a 3.86 grade point average while majoring in Finance. McFarland, a sophomore from Lufkin, Texas, has a 3.32 in Exercise Science while Hurst has a 3.32 in University College.
To be eligible for consideration, a player must be at least a sophomore in eligibility carrying at least a 3.30 grade point average while performing as a starter or important reserve.
The three Sooners will now advance to the Academic All-America ballot. That team will be announced near the end of the season.
