Prairie View A&M Head Coach Toyelle Wilson
On playing Oklahoma:
“One thing is, they are very mentally tough. I told them coming into the game -- they've got the environment, the band, the crowd, the light, everything. This is the epitome of what you want to play under. We knew coming in, they are very good in spurts, once they put it all together they are going to be great. The kids are really young on that team. They are starting a freshman from Vegas (Aaryn Ellenberg). [Joanna] McFarland is a sophomore. Danielle Robinson is really the only one [veteran player], and [Carlee] Rothlisberger. You can't make a lot of mistakes against them.

Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale
On the game:
“All wins are good wins. We need to practice though. We need a day of practice and we'll get that on Tuesday and I am looking forward to that. I thought Prairie View played really hard. They are very athletic and well coached. (Prairie View head coach Toyelle Wilson) is infusing them with the belief they can win and they competed every single possession tonight. It was a good test for our guys and I appreciate the caliber of the competition throughout the whole weekend in terms of guys not going away. Nobody buried their head and died when we got a lead. That's good for our basketball team to compete through that.”

On what created OU's offensive spurts:
“There is a difference between what you can do and what you are doing. The 'can do' is not really the question here. The 'are doing' is the question all the time. We have a tendency to get really flat. I felt like in the second-half everybody individually tried to change it. That doesn't come from selfishness. That almost comes from being selfless. Everybody was trying to make the thing happen instead of playing together. Everybody was trying on their own and it looked like a headless horseman; five guys going in five different directions. When we finally started trying to create for one another we found one possession were it felt right and from there on out boom we suddenly go on a 12-0 run, or something like that. That's a learning curve for a young team. We will get better at that, we just need an opportunity. This team has really been a learning team from film. As much from going through things in practice their IQ is high enough that they can watch film and learn.”

Oklahoma Senior Guard Danielle Robinson
On getting the offense back on track as the point guard:
“We just had to find a rhythm. I think tonight we were a little sped-up and a little indecisive. With that being said, I need to either start the offense with a cut or do something to get our rhythm started and get us to be more patient and get all the options.”

On the team missing shots and making it more difficult…
“I think we learned our lesson yesterday when we weren't hitting them in the beginning of the game. That's where we have to be disciplined and make stops on the defensive end, which translate into early offense and layups. I don't think we did that.”

Oklahoma Freshman Guard Aaryn Ellenburg
On what changed in the last five minutes for OU's offense:
“Pushing in transition and once we push in transition we all get together and it's like a burst of energy. It kind of puts everything together. So we kind of turned it around from there and just played the way we play and tried to get that early offense going.”
