Oklahoma Team Notes

• OU is 20-0 all-time against Baylor and 9-0 in Waco. The Sooners posted 50-plus points on the Bears for the third time in series history. Tonight's 53 points is a season high. OU previously beat Baylor 52-21 in Norman in 2007 and 56-7 in 2000 in Waco.

• The Sooners led 34-7 at the half, marking the fourth time this season they have eclipsed the 30-point barrier in the first two quarters (38 vs. Texas Tech, 34 vs. Florida State and 31 vs. Iowa State).

• For the 16th time in the Bob Stoops' era, OU recorded a safety with Marcus Trice's blocked put in the third quarter. It is the third safety this season (Texas A&M and Colorado), tied for the most under Stoops in a single season (2002). All three of the Sooners' safeties this season have been recorded by the special teams.

• OU recorded its first defensive touchdown of the season on defensive end Ronnell Lewis' 12-yard interception return in the third quarter (first allowed by Baylor in 2010). It was the first defensive touchdown by a Sooner since Brian Jackson's 52-yard fumble return against Texas A&M on Nov. 14, 2009. It marks the 36th defensive touchdown in the Stoops' era. The last defensive end to return an interception was Jonathan Jackson against Texas in 2003. Lewis is just the second Sooner defensive end to have an interception under Stoops.

• The Sooner defense has at least one interception in 101 of the last 136 games following Tony Jefferson's pick to end the second quarter. Lewis' interception in the third quarter gave OU multiple picks in 61 of the last 107 outings. OU has forced at least one turnover in 138 of the 156 games under Bob Stoops.

• The Sooners put up 53 points today, marking the first time OU has posted 40 or more away from home since the 2008 Big 12 Championship against Missouri (won, 62-21 on Dec. 6). In 2008, OU had 40-plus points in six of the eight games away from home, including all five of the true road games. Under Coach Stoops, the Sooners have accomplished the feat on 20 occasions.

• Ryan Broyles (113) and DeMarco Murray (120) became the seventh Sooner duo to each record 100 yards receiving in a game. It marks the fifth time under Stoops that OU has accomplished the feat. Broyles (128) and Brandon Caleb (104) is the last duo to hold that distinction (2009 against Tulsa).

Oklahoma Individual Notes

Ryan Broyles
• With a touchdown catch in the second quarter, Ryan Broyles is tied for fourth place all-time in the Big 12 with 33 touchdown receptions with Texas' Jordan Shipley (2006-09). He trails Rashaun Woods (42, OSU, 2000-03), Michael Crabtree (41, TTU, 2007-08) and Roy Williams (36, UT, 2000-03).

• Broyles finished with 113 yards, marking the ninth 100-yard game this season and 16th of his career. He entered tonight tied for the top mark in OU history, in both categories, with Mark Clayton.

• For the fifth time this season, Broyles hauled in at least 10 receptions (eighth of career). He finished with 12 catches and has eight or more in every game this season.

DeMarco Murray
• DeMarco Murray recorded his 63rd career touchdown in the first quarter off a 76-yard TD pass from Landry Jones. The reception was a career long for Murray, topping the 67-yard catch against Texas A&M in 2009. The reception is the fourth longest in the Bob Stoops' era behind Ryan Broyles and his 81-yard catch vs. Colorado in 2010, Kejuan Jones (77 vs. Texas Tech 2003) and Broyles (77 vs. Washington 2008). It is also the third longest reception in OU history by a Sooner running back behind Jones and Steve Sewell (79 vs. Kansas State in 1984).

• Murray added his 64th career touchdown with a 13-yard run in the first quarter. Today's performance is the sixth multi-touchdown game of the season for Murray (19th of career) and first since Iowa State (Oct. 16). Murray entered today with five career touchdowns against Baylor.

• With 120 yards receiving, Murray posted the third 100-yard receiving game of his career. He is the only running back in OU history with more than one 100-yard receiving game. Murray had both of his previous triple-digit outings in 2009 with 116 yards against Texas and 143 yards against Texas A&M.

• With 63 rushing yards, Murray moved into sixth place all-time at Oklahoma with 3,445 career yards. Murray moved past De'Mond Park (1996-98) with 3,403.

Kenny Stills
• Kenny Stills' 74 yards moved him into second place in single season receiving yards by a freshman past Mark Clayton (524). The 590 yards is the most by a true freshman and only trails Ryan Broyles' 687 in 2008. Stills has three straight games with at least 70-plus yards receiving.

Landry Jones
• With the three TD passes, Landry Jones is now in sole possession of third place all-time at OU with 56 (was tied with Josh Heupel). The sophomore trails Heisman Trophy winners Sam Bradford (88) and Jason White (81). Tonight's game marked the sixth time this season he threw three or more touchdown passes.

• Jones threw for 325 yards against the Bears, marking the seventh time this season and the 10th time in his career he threw for over 300 yards.

Tony Jefferson
• The freshman defensive back intercepted his first pass of the season to end the second quarter.

Jimmy Stevens
• Jimmy Stevens recorded his third game this season with multiple field goals (eighth career). The three converted field goals (28,33, 25) is a season high for Stevens.

• Stevens finished with 15 points for the second consecutive season against Baylor, the third most recorded by a Sooner kicker in a single game. For his career, he moved into a tie for sixth place with 248 with Uwe von Schamann (1976-78) on the career points list by a kicker.

Jeremy Beal
• Beal has at least one tackle-for-loss in 10 of the 11 games this season.

Quinton Carter
• For the second straight week, and the third time this season, Quinton Carter had 10 or more tackles in a game. Carter had a career-high 17 tackles last week against Texas Tech and had 10 today against Baylor.

By the Numbers

100 - Ryan Broyles (113) and DeMarco Murray (120) became the seventh Sooner duo to each record 100 yards receiving in a game. It marks the fifth time under Stoops that OU has accomplished the feat.

40 - OU scored 40-plus points on the road for the first time this season and the 20th time in the Bob Stoops' era.

21 - OU scored 21 points in the first quarter, the second most it has scored in the opening period in 2010 (24 last week against Texas Tech). The season high for points scored in a quarter is 26 against Colorado (2nd quarter).

16 - Ryan Broyles has 16 career games with 100 yards receiving, the most in OU history. He entered tonight tied with mark Clayton.

10 - Landry Jones has thrown multiple TDs in 10 of his last 12 games.

7 - DeMarco Murray has seven career touchdowns against Baylor.

2 - Freshman RB Roy Finch scored his second career touchdown in as many weeks on an 8-yard rush near the end of the first quarter.

1 - On Baylor's fumbled punt in the first quarter, Javon Harris recorded his first career forced fumble and Joseph Ibiloye posted his first fumble recovery.

Baylor Team Notes

• Oklahoma now leads the all-time series 20-0 and 10-0 in Waco.

• Baylor is 5-71 all-time vs. the Big 12 South (13-32 vs. the Big 12 North).

• Baylor is 41-165-6 all-time vs. ranked opponents; 26-145-5 when unranked and playing a ranked opponent.

• With Saturday's attendance of 36,034, Baylor averaged 40,043 fans in six home games (240,259 total attendance) this season. It marks just the sixth time in the 61-year history of Floyd Casey Stadium that Baylor averaged 40,000+ fans for an entire season and the first time since 1995.

• Baylor finished the regular season with a winning home record (4-2) for only the second time in the Big 12 era (4-3 in 2008).

• Baylor has 14 plays of 50+ yards this season.

• Baylor has allowed 40+ points in each of its five losses this season.

Baylor Individual Notes

• TB Jay Finley moved up to second place on Baylor's single-season rushing list with 1,155 yards.

• QB Robert Griffin III is 13-13 in 26 career starts as Baylor quarterback.

• Griffin III broke his own single-season school record for TD responsibility. Griffin III has been responsible for 29 total touchdowns this season (21 pass, eight rush).

• Griffin III passed Shawn Bell (5,666) for second place on Baylor's passing list with 5,767 career yards.

• Griffin III now owns the Baylor single-season record with 274 completions, breaking the previous mark of 264 held by Blake Szymanski in 2007.

• Griffin III moved up to 16th on Baylor's career rushing list with 1,511 yards.

• IR Kendall Wright has a catch in each game of his career (36 games).

• Wright now ranks seventh on Baylor's single-season receiving list with 825 yards.

• RB Jarred Salubi posted his career-first multi-touchdown game.

• S Byron Landor recorded 10+ tackles for the seventh game -- and fifth Big 12 contest -- this season.

• DE Gary Mason Jr. recorded his career-first intercepton.

• PK Aaron Jones moved up to second place on Baylor's single-season scoring list with 101 points. Jones' 101 points is a Baylor record for kickers.

• Jones now owns the Baylor single-season record with 19 field goals made, besting the previous mark of 18 held by Jeff Ireland in 1989.

• Jones also owns the Baylor single-season record with 26 field goals attempted, besting the previous mark of 25 held by Ireland in 1991.
