NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma baseball team held its annual scout day on Oct. 19 as over 30 scouts representing 20-plus Major League Baseball teams were in attendance to evaluate this year's players.

Click the video to the right to take a look back on the afternoon and listen to OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway and junior Garrett Buechele talk about the importance of the day.

The Sooners ran 60-yard dashes, partcipated in pre-game drills and held an eight-inning scrimmage.

OU had five players selected in the 2010 MLB Draft and lost Danny Black, Zach Neal, Jeremy Erben and Jason Chowing. Junior third baseman Garrett Buechele was also drafted and is one of 20 letterwinners and 10 starters (8 position players, two pitchers) returning from the 2010 College World Series team that finished 50-18 overall.

In addition, the Sooners' incoming class was ranked No. 21 recently by Baseball America.

Since taking over in 2005, Golloway and company have sent 34 Sooners into the MLB draft, including two first round picks (Garrett Richards in 2009 and Jackson Williams in 2007) and 11 players taken in the first 10 rounds.

Fall practice is coming to a close as the Sooners have two games remaining in the Red/White Series. Red leads the best-of-five series, 2-1, and the next game will be contested on Monday, Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m. The finale is set for Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 3:30 p.m.

All games are free and open to the public at L. Dale Mitchell Park and are subject to change.
