NORMAN, Okla. -- Cameron Seitzer's two-run homer in the seventh inning led the Red Team to a 4-3 victory in game one of the Red/White Series on Monday at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

The shot by Seitzer was the lone homer of the afternoon as the teams combined for 10 base knocks. Seitzer drove in three of the visitor's four runs.

Starting pitchers Burch Smith (Red) and Ryan Gibson (White) both hurled four strong innings before running into trouble in the fifth.

Gibson struck out four batters in the first four frames before loading the bases and giving way to Tyler Brady in the bullpen. Brady walked in a run with Tyler Ogle at the plate and Seitzer drove in the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly.

The White Team rallied in the bottom half of the frame off Smith as Garrett Buechele drove in two runs on a single. The All-American also brought home the first run of the game on a RBI groundout in the first. Chris Ellison came around to score on Buechele's groundout after he tripled earlier in the frame.

Neither starter figured into the final decisions with Drew Krittenbrink posting the victory with 1 1/3 innings of relief. Kindle Ladd picked up the save with a hitless seventh inning.

For the Red Team, releiver Tyson Seng took the loss after surrendering the two-run homer to Seitzer in the seventh.

Game two of the best-of-five series is slated for a 3:30 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The game is free and open to the public.
