Baseball Season Tickets on Sale

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma Athletics Ticket Office announced Tuesday that season tickets for the 2010 OU baseball season are on sale to the public.

The Sooners will host 28 home games this year including the Sooner Classic, a four-team tournament, on March 4-7. The 2010 home slate also includes exciting matchups against Baylor, Texas, Missouri, Kansas State, South Florida, Memphis, TCU and Arkansas.

OU kicks things off on Feb. 19 at San Diego State in a four-game set. The home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2 at 3 p.m. against UT-Arlington.

General admission and reserved season tickets may be purchased online at SoonerSports.com or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-456-GoOU. The OU Athletics Ticket Office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located on the plaza level of the Asp Avenue parking garage.

Sooner Classic | March 4-7 | L. Dale Mitchell Park
The Sooner Classic, the first regular season tournament held in Norman, follows the home opener on March 2 and will feature contests with South Florida, Western Illinois and Stephen F. Austin. The 1985 season was the last time OU hosted a regular season tournament (Knor Sooner Shootout) but it was held at the All Sports Stadium in Oklahoma City.

Tickets purchased will be good for all games during the day. A complete schedule is below.

General admission tickets for the first home game against Texas-Arlington and the Sooner Classic games March 4 - 7 are available now. Single-game tickets for the rest of the season will go on sale March 2.

Celebrate your birthday with the Sooners! Birthday Packs are available for all regular-season home games for $10 per ticket (a minimum purchase of 10 tickets is required). Each ticket includes:

Baseball Diamond Dinner | Friday, Jan. 29
Former Sooner baseball greats return to help Oklahoma kick off the 2010 season at the Seventh Annual Diamond Dinner on Friday, Jan 29.

The event is set to begin at 7 p.m. with Greg Norton serving as the night's honoree. The California native was a three-time letterwinner and second team All-American in 1993. He was a member of the 1991 and 1992 Sooner teams that won 40-plus games and made two NCAA tournament appearances. In 1992, he was an All-Tournament team member of the NCAA Mideast Regional won by the Sooners prior to the program's seventh College World Series appearance later that season.

The annual benefit dinner, which is open to the public, will be held at the Postal Training Center (2801 East Highway 9) in Norman. The cost to attend is $30 per person and reservations are required. Fans interested in attending can contact the Oklahoma baseball office at (405) 325-8354. Fans will not be permitted to attend without reserving a spot in advance.
