NORMAN, Okla. -- Imagine a 6-11 guy weighing upwards of 280 pounds in the boxing ring. Picture the same man standing in the lane blocking your path to the basket. Both would undoubtedly be intimidating sights.
Orlando Allen has provided that presence in both arenas. Before he first started playing basketball as a junior in high school, Allen's first love was boxing. Footwork, stamina and above all, toughness, are skills he learned in the ring and has been able to apply on the basketball floor.
And while he is certainly a physical specimen, Allen possesses very fun-loving, likeable and almost gentle personality off the court. Get to know the "Big O" in this week's video profile.
