NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma's Scottesha Miller has been named the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Female Athlete of the Week after a season-opening weekend that saw the Daytona Beach, Fla., native earn an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 60-meter dash. Miller finished second in the event at the Arkansas Invitational with a time of 7.42 and was the only competitor to record a provisional qualifying time in the event's prelims, leading the pack with a time of 7.43.
A four-time All-American, Miller entered the 2010 indoor season ranked 14th nationally in the 60, eighth in the 200-meter dash and 18th in the long jump.
Miller and the rest of the Sooner program return to action this Saturday when they travel to College Station, Texas for the Texas A&M Invitational.
