LOS ANGELES -- Oklahoma's Danielle Robinson was named to the Preseason Women's Wooden Award Watch List Thursday.

The 31-member watch list was announced by John R. Wooden Award Chairman and founder Richard "Duke" Llewellyn. The list of frontrunners for the national honor is based on last year's individual performance and team records. Transfers, freshmen and medical redshirts are not eligible for the preseason list.

Robinson, a junior from San Jose, Calif., returns to the Sooners after leading the team to its sixth Big 12 Championship and second Final Four appearance. During the summer, she guided Team USA to a gold medal at the World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia.

Robinson averaged 12.9 points, 5.8 assists and 2.2 steals in 2008-09 and was a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award for the nation's top point guard. Robinson set OU records for most consecutive free throws made (30) and most career double-digit assits games (six) as a sophomore.

Also included on the preseason list are Big 12 players Danielle McCray of Kansas, Andrea Riley of Oklahoma State and Ashley Sweat of Kansas State.

Oklahoma begins its season Nov. 13 against Mercer at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
