Dye Continues to Advance at NCAAs

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma senior golfer Kendall Dye shot a four-over 76 in the third round of the NCAA Championships Thursday at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md., and stands in a tie for 54th place out of 126 golfers.  Dye stood in 108th place after Tuesday's first round and in a tie for 72nd place after Wednesday's third round.

Dye, who was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI second team today, started round three on hole 10 and birdied three times on the back side for an even-par first nine.  She shot four over par on the front nine.

Southern California tops the team standings after a third-round 294 (+6) and a three-round total of 890 (+26).  Arizona State stands one stroke behind USC, while third-place UCLA is three strokes behind the Trojans.

Southern California's Jennifer Song took the individual lead after scoring a third-round one-under-71, putting her at an even-par 216 for the week.  Purdue's Maria Hernandez and UCLA's Maria Jose Uribe stand tied for the second place at 218 (+2).
