NORMAN, Okla. -- At 17 years old, he's not even a legal adult. Until attending his high school graduation last weekend, he had yet to accept his diploma.
Will Claye has been on campus for all of one semester, but he is already an accomplished veteran.
Claye recently broke a 27-year-old U.S. Junior National record in the triple jump on his way to the Big 12 title. He earned All-America status in both the long jump and triple jump at the 2009 NCAA Indoor Championships.
It's almost unfathomable for someone so young to have so much success in such a short period of time. Yet Claye has taken it all in stride and continues to work to improve every day so he can be at his best at the NCAA Championships, which just so happen to end on his 18th birthday.
