NOMRAN, Okla. – University of Oklahoma women's golf senior Kendall Dye was named to the 2009 All-Big 12 Team Thursday.  The squad consists of the conference's 10 highest ranked student-athletes in the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings following last weekend's Big 12 Championship.

Dye has showcased her ability in all 10 of OU's tournaments this season, as she has posted a top-25 finish each time and top-10 showings on four occasions.  She has elevated her play in the team's two most recent events, earning medalist honors at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic and tying for first place four days ago at the Big 12 Championship in Lubbock, Texas.  The Edmond, Okla., native holds the second best career stroke average in OU history.

This marks Dye's second straight year to be named to the All-Big 12 Team.  Last year she was given the honor after her ninth-place finish at the Big 12 Championship in Stillwater, Okla.

Oklahoma State freshman Caroline Hedwall was selected as the Big 12 Player and Newcomer of the Year by virtue of being the highest ranked individual in the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings.  Baylor's Sylvia Ferdon was named Big 12 Coach of the Year in a vote by the league's head coaches.

Dye is set to compete May 7-9 as an individual at the NCAA Central Regional in Columbus, Ohio.
