George "Duke" Robinson was named All-America by seven different outlets, including the Associated Press, and was one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy. The senior from Atlanta was so honored for his role in blocking Oklahoma's offense to incredible numbers during the 2008 season.

Oklahoma became the first team in the modern era to score 60 or more points in five consecutive games and more than 700 (716) in a season. The Sooners also produced a 4,000-yard passer and two 1,000-yard rushers in the same season for the first time in NCAA history.

The 2008 Sooners ranked No. 1 in scoring offense, No. 3 in the nation in total offense and passing offense, No. 20 in rushing offense and No. 3 in fewest sacks surrendered.

Robinson logged 112 knockdowns during the season from his left guard position.
