HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad stands 12th after 54 holes of the 2009 Big 12 Championships at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The Sooners fired a team score of 306 (+26) on Tuesday, dropping from ninth to 12th in the team standings with a three-round tally of 917 (+77).
Eric Durbin posted his lowest round of the tournament with a 74 on Tuesday. Durbin's 74 placed him in a share of 37th, along with a trio of Sooner' teammates. Tyler Rody (80-75-76), Riley Pumphrey (79-75- 77) and Liam Logan (76-76-79) are all bunched together with Durbin at 231 (+21).
Rounding out the Oklahoma team scoring is Ryan Sirman (75-81-81) in a share of 55th at +27 (237).
Overnight co-leader Oklahoma State took over the top spot alone with a 28-over-par 287 on Tuesday. The Cowboys hold a three-stroke advantage over Colorado.
Baylor's Bill Alcorn remained atop the individual standings after an even-par 70 today, following rounds of 68 and 71 on Monday.
