HUTCHINSON, Kan.  - The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad closed the 2009 Big 12 Championship in 10th place with a 72-hole team score of 1205 (+85) at Prairie Dunes County Club in Hutchinson, Kan.

OU carded a final-round tally of 288 (+8) on Wednesday, marking its lowest team score of the event and the fifth best round of any squad during the final day of play.

Three of the five Sooner' golfers fired their lowest round of the tournament on the final day of action, including Tyler Rody's 2-under-par 68, Oklahoma's lone score in red figures on the week.  Rody (80-75-76-68) jumped from 37th to T23rd to pace the Sooners after his season-low result.

Liam Logan (76-76-79-73) carded a birdie at the par-4 11th, while scattering four bogeys for his lowest round of the event.  The Fort Worth, Texas, native closed the tournament in a share of 34th at 304 (+24).

Two strokes behind Logan was Eric Durbin, who rebounded from a tournament-opening 82 with rounds of 75, 74 and 75 in closing the championship at +26 (41st place).

Rounding out the OU team scoring was Riley Pumphrey (79-75-77-76) and Ryan Sirman (75-81-81-72).  The pair closed the event in T43rd and T51st, respectively.

Oklahoma State won the team title, closing the event at +29, 14 strokes ahead of Colorado.  OSU's Morgan Hoffman overtook Baylor's Bill Allcorn for medalist honors after a final round 66 for the Cowboy golfer. Hoffman won the title by three shots over Allcorn, the overnight leader, who fired an even-par 70 on Wednesday.
