BLACKSBURG,Va. — Latoya Heath and Scottesha Miller each recorded NCAA provisional qualifying marks Saturday at the NCAA Last Chance Qualifier at Virginia Tech. While both recorded provisional efforts, the two failed to improve on their season-best marks as Miller finished third in the long jump and fourth in the 60-meter dash while Heath took seventh in the 60-meter hurdles.

Miller took third in the long jump with a provisional distance of 20-4.25 (6.20). Miller entered the weekend ranked 28th nationally with a distance of 20-4.50 (6.21), the third-best effort in program history.

Miller's provisional qualifying time of 7.44, good for fourth in Saturday's competition. The time was not an improvement, however, on Miller's season-best 7.37, the third-fastest 60 in OU history. Miller ran a faster 60 of 7.41 in the event's semifinals after running 7.47 in the event's prelims.

Heath ran her fastest time of the day, an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8.40, in the event's finals. Heath qualified for the finals with the 10th-fastest time in the event's prelims, 8.48, followed by a provisional qualifying time of 8.43 in the semifinals.
