AMES, Iowa — K.P. Singh and the Oklahoma men's 4x400-meter relay extended their NCAA provisional qualifying marks Saturday at NCAA Last Chance Qualifier action Saturday on the campus of Iowa State University. The group was one of three OU groups across the nation in last chance qualifying action as Sooners competed in the South Bend, Ind., and Blacksburg, Va.
Singh finished third in the weight throw by tossing the implement a distance of 67-2.75 (20.49) and extending his own program record in the event. Singh entered the weekend ranked No. 17 in the nation with his previous best throw of 67-0.00 (20.43).
Eric Bailey, Zach Dawson, Mookie Salaam and Jarell Warren teamed to form the 4x400-meter relay that took ninth with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:08.91. The four entered the weekend ranked No. 16 in the nation with a time of 3:09.81.
Warren ran the anchor leg for the event after flying in to Iowa Saturday morning from South Bend, Ind., where he ran the 400-meter leg for the distance medley relay that broke the Oklahoma program record in the event Friday night at the Alex Wilson Invitational.
