AUSTIN, Texas – The OU men's golf squad finished 16th at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday. The Sooners fired a final round team score of 320 (+36) at the par-71, 7412-yard University of Texas Golf Club, closing the event with a team tally of 932 (+80).
OU was paced by Ben Blundell's 42nd-place finish (77-78-76), closing the 54-hole event at +18. Two shots behind Blundell was Riley Pumphrey, in a share of 50th, after rounds of 78, 74 and 81.
Oklahoma's Ryan Sirman and Liam Logan both tied for 58th at +21. Sirman carded rounds of 79, 76 and 79, while Logan recorded scores of 73, 77 and 84.
Rounding out the Sooners' scoring was Tyler Rody (+38 - 91st) with rounds of 80, 81 and 90.
Overnight leader Oklahoma State cruised to a 25-shot victory with a final team tally of 863 (+11). Cowboy golfer Morgan Hoffman and USC's Tom Glissmeyer shared medalist honors at 1-under. The pair were the only golfers in the 18-team field in red figures.
The Sooners close their regular-season slate April 10-11, at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe, Ariz.
