Sooners Conclude Tourney in 16th

STATESBORO, Ga. – The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad concluded the Schenkel E-Z Go Invitational in 16th place after Sunday's final round team score of 306 (+18) at the par-72, 6947-yard Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga.

Leading the Sooners were Liam Logan (74-73-76) and Riley Pumphrey (73-73-77), who both concluded the 54-hole event in a share of 42nd at +7.

Four shots back in 68th was the duo of Ben Blundell (76-76-75) and Chris Wilson (74-75-78) at +11.

Rounding out the Oklahoma team scoring was Ryan Sirman (+12) in 74th place after rounds of 72, 76 and 80.

No. 16 South Carolina (+1) picked up the team crown by two shots over an 18-team field that included 10 squads ranked in the latest Golfweek top-50 poll.

N.C. State's Matt Hill won medalist honors by three strokes after rounds of 71, 69 and 69.

It's a quick turnaround for the Sooners as they travel to Austin, Texas, on March 30-31, for the Morris Williams Intercollegiate. The event marks OU's second to last regular season event before starting postseason play next month.
