Golf Tourney Set for April 13

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team will host its inaugural golf tournament on Monday, April 13 at The Trails Golf Club in Norman. The event is sponsored by the Ace Club, the official booster club of OU volleyball. The registration deadline for the event is Wednesday, April 8.

The tournament begins on April 13 with registration at 10:30 a.m. Lunch is scheduled from 11 a.m. -12:30 p.m. and the four person scramble starts at 12:30 p.m. All proceeds from the event go toward the University of Oklahoma volleyball program.

A variety of packages are available, ranging from an individual player for $125 to a team of four for $450. Hole sponsorships are available for $200 per hole and interested sponsors may also sponsor a hole and a four-some for $650. Title sponsorships for the event are also available. Title sponsorships include signage for the entire tournament, a team of four and recognition at the awards ceremony.

The player entry fee includes the green and cart fees, range balls, lunch, gift bag and two drink tickets. Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt, hole-in-one and the top three teams will earn an award. A silent auction will also take place during the tournament.

The Trails Golf Club is a 6,308-yard, 18-hole, par 70 championship golf course. The private course is well recognized and has been the site of PGS sanctioned events, state championships and the 2007 Oklahoma men's and ladies' state amateur tournaments.
