ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Running at altitude, the men's sprint core recorded four top-three finishes Saturday at the New Mexico Classic in Albuquerque. The men's 4x400-meter relay led the way with a win in the event, finishing with a time of 3:16.13. D'Andre Fisher and Jarell Warren each picked up second-place finishes in their respective events.
After posting a time of 8.17 in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles, Fisher improved to 8.11 in the finals to finish second behind Joseph Jackson of Stanford.
Warren led a trio of Sooners who finished in the top four of the 400-meter dash. Warren came in second with a time of 47.85 while Zach Dawson was third in 48.03 followed by Eric Bailey at 48.82.
Freshman Mookie Salaam just missed a top-three finish by finishing fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.84.
