NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma Athletics Media Relations Office and Sooner Sports Properties announced the Sooner baseball team's 2009 radio and internet broadcast schedule on Tuesday.
For the fifth consecutive season, KOKC 1520 AM will serve as the flagship station of Sooner baseball and is set to air more than 40 games live in the Oklahoma City area. Additionally, 10 of the games are set to be carried on the Sooners Sports' Network, enabling fans to listen to OU baseball on the radio state-wide.
Live audio will be available online for the entire 56-game regular season via
All-Access, OU's premium content site.
Sooner fans will have their first opportunity to hear Oklahoma baseball live on KOKC 1520 AM on Sunday, Feb. 22 against Western Illinois. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. against the Leathernecks at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
OU returns 18 letterwinners from last year's NCAA Tournament squad and begins the season ranked No. 16 in
Baseball America's preseason poll.
Sooner Alumnus Chuck Kelly enters his fifth year calling the play-by-play for the OU baseball team in 2009. Kelly will once again be joined by former Sooner hurler DeWayne Vaughn (1978-1981) for the call on the Sooners' 28 home games.
In addition to all of the KOKC broadcasts being available through Oklahoma All-Access, a majority of the home games can be seen with over a web cast on the premium site.
