Baseball Season Tickets on Sale

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma Athletics Ticket Office announced Tuesday that season tickets for the 2009 OU baseball season will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Season tickets may be purchased online at SoonerSports.com or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-456-GoOU. The OU Athletics Ticket Office is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located on the plaza level of the Asp Avenue parking garage.
The Sooners will kick things off on Feb. 20 and host Western Illinois in a four-game set. The weekend series is the first time OU has opened a season at home since 2003 and marks the first of 28 games set to be played at L. Dale Mitchell Park in 2009.
Fans that have purchased baseball tickets in the past may receive a phone call from an OU baseball player. Members of the OU Baseball Team will take part in a phone-a-thon on Tuesday, Feb. 3. The Sooners will be making phone calls from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in order to contact potential season ticket holders and offer fans the chance to experience OU Baseball in 2009.

In addition to the Leathernecks, the Sooners will also host Arkansas Little Rock, UCLA, California, Houston Baptist, Central Arkansas, TCU, Wichita State and Southern Utah in non-conference action.
In Big 12 play, Oklahoma will host Nebraska (March 27-29), Texas Tech (April 10-12), Kansas (May 1-3) and Texas A&M (May 15-17) in Big 12 action.
The Sooners were recently tabbed No. 16 in Baseball America's preseason poll and they will welcome No. 12 UCLA and No. 1 Texas A&M to Norman for three-game sets.
Reserved season tickets are available for $140 and general admission season tickets are available for $100. Discounted general admission season tickets are available to OU faculty/staff and senior citizens for $80. Single game ticket prices are $12 for reserved seats and $8 for general admission. OU faculty/staff and baseball letterwinners' general admission single game tickets are $7.00. Youth and senior citizens single game general admission tickets are $5.00.
Single game tickets will go on sale Thursday, February 26 at 8:00 a.m.
The Sooners will sign autographs prior to the men's basketball game on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 7-8 p.m. in the southwest upper concourse of the Lloyd Noble Center.
