NORMAN, Okla. - For the second time this season, Oklahoma redshirt freshman quarterback Landry Jones has been honored as the Big 12 Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.

He shares the honor with Texas Tech running back Baron Batch.

Jones completed 26-of-37 passes for 294 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in Oklahoma's 42-30 win over Kansas State.

KSU closed Oklahoma's lead to five points twice in the fourth quarter and both times Jones directed scoring drives on OU's ensuing possession to extend the advantage, completing 14 consecutive passes on those drives (67 and 68 yards).

Kansas State entered the contest averaging 1.4 interceptions per game but was unable to pick off Jones.

The Artesia, NM, native now leads the nation's freshmen quarterbacks with 17 touchdown passes this season, six more than any other first-year QB.

Other Big 12 honors for the week to Nebraska's Jared Crick on defense and Kansas State's Brandon Banks on special teams.
