NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma volleyball team picked up its biggest win of the season Saturday afternoon, defeating No. 19 Baylor in five sets [25-13, 21-25, 25-17, 19-25, 15-12] at McCasland Field House. It marked Oklahoma's first win over a ranked opponent at home since defeating No. 14 Kansas State 3-1 on Oct. 19, 2007. The Sooners move to 12-6 on the year and 5-4 in conference play. Baylor fell to 17-4 overall (6-4 Big 12). 

Sophomore Suzy Boulavsky recorded her first career double-double with a career high 21 kills and a career-high 20 digs. Boulavsky hit a match-high .455, recording just one attack error in 44 attempts. She also brought down five total blocks, including one block solo.

Junior Sarah Freudenrich added 12 kills and nine total blocks, including a career-high four block solos. The four block solos are an Oklahoma individual five-set match record during the 25-point rally scoring era. Sophomore setter Brianne Barker recorded her 13th double-double of the season with 52 assists and 11 digs. Junior Francie Ekwerekwu had two block solos and two block assists to go along with her 11 kills. Freshman Maria Fernanda tied her season high with 27 digs.

Senior Bridget Laplante and sophomore Caitlin Higgins added 12 and 19 digs, respectively. Laplante had eight kills, while Higgins contributed seven. 

As a team, the Sooners out-blocked the league's third-best blocking squad, 14-9. Oklahoma recorded eight block solos, the most in school history during the 25-point rally scoring era. The Sooners hit .239 compared to Baylor's .166 clip. Oklahoma out-played the Bears defensively, totaling 93 digs to BU's 76. 

The Sooners return to the road for their next two contests. Oklahoma faces No. 22 Texas A&M in College Station on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. CT and travels to No. 7 Nebraska on Saturday. It marks the first time in school history Oklahoma will face five consecutive ranked opponents.
