CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad concluded the 2008 Aldila Scenic City Invitational in seventh place after finishing the event with back-to-back under-par team rounds on Tuesday at Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The 16 squads were forced to play 36 holes today after weather suspended Monday afternoon's round until this morning.
OU entered today's action in 10th place, but quickly moved up the leaderboard after red-figure morning rounds from Ben Blundell (70) and Liam Logan (69).
Blundell fired his third consecutive 2-under-par 70 in afternoon play, finishing the 54-hole event in 10th place to lead the Sooners. The Rowlett, Texas, native played the par-5's in eight under fashion for the tournament and carded 16 birdies over three rounds -- third most among the 90-player field.
