NORMAN, Okla. -- After rolling through the first three weeks of the season, the OU football team shifts its focus to what lies ahead.
While the Sooners have a bye this week, the team is still hard at work preparing for their final nonconference game agains TCU and the Big 12 opener right around the corner.
We caught up with a few members of the offense after practice Tuesday to get their thoughts on the season so far and what they're looking forward to the rest of the season.

On OU's success with the spread offense:
"With the spread offense, we have a chance to get people the ball in open space, which is going to help us out a lot in keeping defenses off guard."
On the camaraderie on offense:
"We don't have any selfish people on this team. We've been here three or four years together and we know what it takes to be a championship team."

On establishing the running game at Washington:
"You've seen how well the passing game is going, but it's great to get the running game going too. The guys up front have been making holes, making seems and we're just gashing them."
On OU's focus in practice during the bye week:
"We're just working on making each other better. We're not taking a week off to slow down. We're progressing even though we don't have a game."

On OU's performance on the road at Washington:
"We used last year as extra motivation to come out this year and play tough and smart on the road. There's a different vibe when we go on the road this year. I think we take it more seriously so I feel good about every road trip."
On what has enabled him to stand out so far this season:
"I'm just taking coaching and trying to mature as a player and get better every week. I'm not doing anything different, I'm just more comfortable out there."
