Women's Tennis Releases Fall Slate

NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma vice president for intercollegiate athletics programs and director of athletics Joe Castiglione and head coach David Mullins announced the women's tennis schedule for the 2008 fall season Wednesday.
 
"We've strengthened our fall schedule to give our players more competition and better competition to better prepare them for the regular season starting in January," Mullins said.

OU will open the fall season Sept. 12 at the Razorback Classic in Fayetteville, Ark.

Oklahoma begins the International Tennis Association's All-American tournament with the pre-qualifying round Sept 27-28 in Malibu, Calif. The ITA All-American tournament will continue with the qualifying round Sept. 29-Oct. 1 followed by the championship round Oct. 2-5 in Los Angeles.

2008 Women's Tennis Fall Schedule

OU will then head to Evanston, Ill. Oct. 10-12 for the Wildcat Invitational.

Selected student-athletes will travel to the ITA Central Regional Championships in Salt Lake City, Oct. 15-18.
 
OU will close its fall schedule Nov. 7-9 in San Diego at the San Diego State Invitational.
