NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma Track & Field program is gearing up to host the second annual Sooner Invitational this Saturday, April 26, at the John Jacobs Track & Field Complex.  The meet marks the second of three home outdoor meets that OU hosts in 2008.

The event will feature teams from 12 schools including Big 12 Conference foes Kansas, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.  State schools Cameron and Oral Roberts are also scheduled to attend.

Saturday's action kicks off at 10 a.m. with the women's javelin.  Running events begin at 12:15 p.m. with the women's steeplechase and conclude at 4:45 p.m. with the men's 4x400-meter relay.

Admission for the event is free and spectators can find parking in the Duck Pond parking lot on the northside of the John Jacobs Track & Field Complex.  Live results will be provided throughout the day by the Delta Timing Group.
