NORMAN, Okla. -- Characteristic of a true senior leader, Susan Ogden is willing to do whatever the team asks of her.

Just witness the fact that she has played a different position each of the last three years.

Ogden's multiple position switches have not resulted from a lack of productivity, however. After all, she was an All-American last year. OU's coaching staff simply knows that no matter where they put her, they can trust she will get the job done.

As for Ogden, she is just happy to be in the lineup and wants nothing more than to help her team win.

No matter what it takes.

On how special it's been to play softball at OU:
"It's been a blast playing here. My freshman year I didn't get a whole lot of playing time because we had a senior catcher. Then my sophomore year I kind of worked my way in during the later part of the season. And I had so much fun last year just DH-ing the whole time. I've really enjoyed it. It's been such a blast and I thank Coach Gasso for giving me this experience."

On playing a different position each of the last three years:
"Anywhere Coach needs me I'm willing to play. If I'm in the lineup anywhere I'm happy. Wherever it is, whether it's right field, catching or DH-ing, I'll do anything to help the team out.

"My approach is the same at every position. With any position on the field, you have to be into the game with every pitch every time. Going into this year I had an idea that

"The past four years

have been so much fun.

I've loved every second

of it and wouldn't trade

it for anything."

I may try the outfield because Coach had mentioned it last year. I just said, 'Wherever you need me I'll go play.' I worked in the outfield all fall and a little bit during the summer with it and come fall that's where Coach had me playing most of the time."

On what has allowed her to be so successful at the plate:
"We have a great staff. The past three years we had Coach Dobson and he was a great coach, and Coach McKay has come in this year and done a fantastic job. With the coaches constantly working with you, they know so much about hitting, and just practicing all the time."

On being an All-American last year:
"I think that's every person's goal is to become an All-American. I'm just so happy I accomplished that and hope I can do the same this year."

On trying to live up to those expectations this year:
"Once you're an All-American people expect you to do the same thing the next year. Sometimes that's just not the case. There's pressure, but there is pressure with everyone."

On going through this process with her fellow senior teammates:
"It's been amazing. We started out with a big class. We picked up Lauren Eckermann last year so we have four now, where we did just have three of the originals. They're amazing and have been so much fun to play with. I've had so much with these girls and it's something I'll always remember."

On their relationship together away from the softball field:
"We could go out and do anything. We could go fishing, go to a movie or go out to dinner and we just have fun wherever we go."

On when she took up fishing:
"I guess I'm a country girl at heart so I like to do that kind of stuff. Sherman isn't that small but there are a lot of open fields and ponds so you can go fishing a lot."

On the most special part about her experience here at OU:
"It's hard to say. I've enjoyed this whole thing. There's not one thing that really sticks out to me. The past four years have been so much fun. I've loved every second of it and wouldn't trade it for anything."

On her interest in the medical field:
"I've always wanted to do something in the medical field. Health and exercise science is a fun major and I love doing stuff with strength and conditioning, so that has a lot to do with it. That was just one of the majors I found that fit me and I hope I can go to nursing school with it and proceed from there."

On balancing academics with being a student-athlete:
"It's really hard. The workload in some of my classes is ridiculous but you have to find time, even if it means staying up all night to finish a project that you procrastinated on, which 99 percent of people do. It's tough but you just have to find the time to do it."
