NORMAN, Okla. -- Courtney Paris is a hot pick for All-America teams again this season. One publication didn't even wait until the season was over to decide.
The Sports Illustrated All-America women's basketball team was released with this week's issue and Paris received first-team recognition.
With one regular-season game remaining, Paris is averaging 18.0 points, 15.1 rebounds and 3.3 blocks. She is the only player in the country to be among the top 50 individuals in at least four of the eight major statistical categories measured by the NCAA.
Also receiving first-team recognition were Sylvia Fowles of LSU, Candace Parker of Tennessee, Kristi Toliver of Maryland and Candice Wiggins of Stanford.
Maryland's Marissa Coleman and Crystal Langhorne, Connecticut's Maya Moore, Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley and California's Ashley Walker were second-team All-American.
Parker was chosen as SI's player of the year.
