NORMAN, Okla. - The No. 46 University of Oklahoma men's tennis team (5-4) fresh off a victory over the Memphis Tigers travels to Montgomery, Ala., for the 2008 Blue-Gray National Classic, March 13-16, at the Lagoon Park Tennis Center.
The Sooners travel to Alabama today and face Boise State on Thursday at 4 p.m. With a win Oklahoma would advance to face the Penn State - Alabama winner on Friday. Tulsa is the top seed in OU's bracket.
"We're very excited to travel to Montgomery for such a first class tournament," OU head coach Paul Lockwood said. "This field is full of very good teams and it will be a tough but exciting atmosphere for our team to compete in this weekend."

OU has faced three teams in the field (Fresno State, Tulsa and VCU) and Big 12 foes Oklahoma State and Texas Tech are also in the field. OU will not face either Big 12 team until the championship match.
"All of our athletes love being challenged and this will provide them the opportunity to raise their games to the next level. Big 12 play starts soon and the competition is going to get better each week," added Lockwood.

The field is rounded out by Auburn, Brown, Furman, NC State, defending champion Notre Dame, William & Mary and Wisconsin.
Sophomore Andrei Daescu is ranked No. 27 in the ITA singles rankings. Daescu and senior Federico Chavarria hold the No. 28 ranking in doubles play.
Next up, the Sooners travel to Jacksonville, Fla., to take on Jacksonville on Thursday, March 20.
