Five Sooners (Taqiy Abdullah-Simmons, Jonathan Horton, Ian Jackson, Steven Legendre and Jacob Messina) competed in Thursday's qualification rounds at the Las Vegas Sports Center. Jackson, a sophomore, finished as the first alternate, narrowly missing a berth in the finals.
