LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The series finale between Oklahoma and No. 1 UCLA, slated for a 1 p.m. PT time on Sunday at Jackie Robinson Stadium, has been cancelled due to heavy rain in the area.
The Sooners and Bruins split a doubleheader on Saturday, with OU winning the nightcap, 3-2, in 12 innings. Earlier in the day, the Sooners dropped a heartbreaker, 7-5, to UCLA on a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth. The doubleheader was scheduled after the season opener on Friday was postponed due to inclement weather.
Sunday's game will not be made up with UCLA, but Oklahoma will look to add a game to the 2008 schedule with space permitting.
The Sooners will host Arkansas Pine Bluff in the 2008 home opener on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. The game will mark the first $.50 hot dog day of the season. OU will also host the Golden Lions on Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. at L. Dale Mitchell Park. Both games will be broadcast live on
Oklahoma All-Access. There will also be a live web cast of Tuesday's game available on All-Access.
