IRVING, Texas -- Oklahoma's Nyeshia Stevenson was named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Stevenson followed a career scoring night by engineering the greatest comeback to win a game in regulation in NCAA history as she helped the Sooners take two victories at the Basketball by the Bay Classic in San Jose, Calif., last weekend.

Stevenson averaged 22 points and three steals while shooting at 55 percent from the field -- including a 46 percent 3-point clip -- in OU's 105-84 victory over Cal State Bakersfield, Friday, Dec. 12, and 86-74 win over No. 9 California, Saturday, Dec. 13.

The junior forward drained nine of 17 field goal attempts to score a career high 23 points as OU routed Cal State Bakersfield Friday.  Stevenson also matched a career best with five assists while counting just one turnover in 26 minutes off the bench. Her 14 first-half points came in 15 minutes of play.

The reserve then shifted gears to lead OU's comeback from a 26-point deficit against Cal.  Stevenson scored 21 points -- all in the second half -- and drained all four of her second-half 3-point attempts as the Sooners scored 60 points to rally in the final period.  Stevenson also had a career best four steals, with three coming in the final five minutes.

Stevenson provided the tying and go-ahead points as she turned a steal into a fast-break layup to knot the score at 71 and then hit back-to-back 3-pointers on the next two possessions to keep the Sooners ahead for good in the contest's only lead change.

The University of Missouri's Bekah Mills was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week.
