• The Sooners punched it into the end zone on their opening possession for the eighth time in nine contests this season.
• Dominique Franks' first-quarter interception return for a touchdown was Oklahoma's first defensive score this season and OU's first interception for a TD since Lendy Holmes against Texas Tech last season.
• The Oklahoma defense forced a turnover on Nebraska's first three offensive possessions and has 13 takeaways in the last three contests. OU has forced at least one turnover in 112 of Bob Stoops' 128 games and at least one interception in 82 of the last 111.
• Tonight's 35 points in the opening period marked the third time this season that OU has scored 28 or more points in the first quarter, a school record.
• OU's 97-yard touchdown drive to increase the lead to 34-0 was its longest of the year. The Sooners' previous long was 92 yards against Baylor.
• The Sooners' 62 points were its most ever against Nebraska. OU's 49 first-half points against NU marked its most ever in a half against the Cornhuskers. The Sooners' previous best against Nebraska was 34 in the second half of the 1954 contest.
• The OU offense eclipsed the 500-yard mark for the sixth time this season.
Sam Bradford
• With his first-quarter 48-yard completion to Quentin Chaney, Bradford set an OU career record for pass completions for 40 or more yards with 30. He broke the mark of 29 previously held by Jason White.
• Bradford's five touchdowns marked the 11th time that a Sooner QB has thrown for at least five touchdowns. Bradford holds the OU record with six, five-touchdown games. Jason White threw for five TDs on three occasions while Josh Heupel did it twice.
• Bradford recorded his sixth career game with five or more touchdown passes, his fourth this season.
• With his 311-yard performance on 19-of-27 passing, Bradford eclipsed the 3,000-yard mark this season and 6,000-yard mark for his career. The sophomore has thrown for 3,086 yards this season and 6,207 yards in his career.
DeMarco Murray
• Murray now has 29 career touchdowns, tying Adrian Peterson for the most TDs by a Sooner in his first two years.
• Murray's 62-yard kickoff return to start the game was his longest since recording a 91-yarder for a touchdown against Baylor last season. It also marked his longest play of the season since recording a 49-yard run against UT-Chattanooga in OU's season opener.
• Murray became the first Sooner to record two kickoff returns of at least 50 yards since Brandon Daniels accomplished the feat against Notre Dame in 1999.
• Murray's 119 return yards marked the ninth-best output in school history. After tonight's contest, Murray holds three of the 10 highest single-game return yardage marks in program history.
• With his three scores in tonight's contest, Murray has nine in his last three games.
Jermaine Gresham
• With two touchdown grabs, Gresham has 21 career scores, tying Malcolm Kelly for second all-time (Mark Clayton - 31).
Quentin Chaney
• Chaney recorded a season-high 128 yards on five catches. It was his third career 100-yard game and just a yard shy of his career best (129 against West Virginia in last season's Fiesta Bowl).
