• With its 28 points in the first quarter, Oklahoma equaled its second-highest total for a quarter against Big 12 opponents. OU has reached the plateau three times: Baylor (2000), Texas (2000) and Texas A&M (2003). The highest total was OU's 35 points in the second quarter in its 77-0 win over Texas A&M in 2003.
• After Saturday's 28-0 first quarter, Oklahoma has outscored its opponents 103-3 in the opening quarter. TCU is the lone team on the season to score in the opening stanza with a 32-yard field goal in last week's 35-10 win for OU.
• OU had four different players record rushing
touchdowns as Sam Bradford, Chris Brown, Mossis Madu
and DeMarco Murray each crossed the goal line throughout
the game.
Sam Bradford
• With two passing TDs on the day, Sam Bradford
moved into second all-time on the Oklahoma career passing
TDs list, jumping his position coach, Josh Heupel,
with 54 career TDs through the air.
Juaquin Iglesias
• Oklahoma WR Juaquin Iglesias moved to second
on the OU all-time career receiving yards list with
six catches for 133 yards, giving the senior 2,112
career yards. Iglesias grabbed the spot from former
Sooner Antwone Savage (1999-02), who had 2,009 yards.
Mark Clayton (2001-04) is the career leader at OU with
3,241 yards.
• Iglesias also recorded his fifth career 100-yard game with his 133-yard effort Saturday. Iglesias moves into sole possession of third all-time on the OU 100-yard games list after sharing the honor with Eddie Hinton. Mark Clayton (2001-04) and Malcolm Kelly (2005-07) are ahead of Iglesias with 15 and nine 100-yard games, respectively.
Manuel Johnson
• Oklahoma senior WR Manuel Johnson continued
his recent hot streak Saturday with five catches for
92 yards. Johnson moved up to No. 13 all-time on the
list with 1,464 yards, jumping Albert Hall (1991-94)
and the former Sooner's 1,396 yards. P.J. Mills
(1992-95) is No. 12 with 1,520 yards.
• Johnson also eclipsed the century mark in career receptions. With his five catches on Saturday, Johnson now has 103 career recptions, tied for 12th on the all-time OU receptions list and tied for ninth on the list for career receptions by a wide receiver (103, Josh Norman, 1998-01).
Keenan Clayton
• Junior LB Keenan Clayton tackled a career-high
14 Baylor ball carriers on Saturday. Clayton equaled
his previous high, nine, in the first half alone. Of
the the total, 11 were solo tackles.
Ryan Reynolds
• Junior LB Ryan Reynolds also recorded double-digit
tackles on the afternoon with 14.
By the Numbers
70 - Oklahoma needed just 70 seconds to get on the
board as Sam Bradford hooked up with Manuel Johnson
with a 53-yard touchdown pass with 13:50 remaining
in the first. The score marked the earliest of the
season for the Sooners.
28 - With Jimmy Stevens' extra point with 43 seconds left in the first, Oklahoma reached its highest total in the opening quarter of the season with 28 points. OU had previously posted 27 on Chattanooga on Aug. 30.
14 - Junior LB Keenan Clayton tackled a career-high 14 Baylor ball carriers on Saturday. Clayton equaled his previous high, nine, in the first half alone.
7 - Oklahoma fullback Matt Clapp doubled his career rushing yardage Saturday with seven yards on two carries.
6 - Oklahoma spread the ball around on Saturday in regards to scoring as six different Sooners crossed the goal line in Waco.
5 - The Oklahoma offense topped the 400-yard mark
for the third time this season with 594 yards on Saturday.
