NORMAN, Okla. - Freshman Caitlin Higgins tallied her eighth double-double of the season with 15 kills and 14 digs but it was not enough as the University of Oklahoma women's volleyball team fell in five sets to 16th-ranked Kansas State on Saturday evening. The Sooners (7-10, 3-6 Big 12) won the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-22, but the Wildcats (16-3, 6-2 Big 12) responded, taking the third set 26-24 and the last two 25-20 and 15-9.
“We played our hearts out,” said Oklahoma head coach Santiago Restrepo. “Overall, it was a great performance. I think we should have won in three, but unfortunately it went five and the game didn't go our way.”
