• Today's announced attendance of 92,182 marked a Cotton Bowl and OU-Texas series record. It was also the largest crowd ever to witness an OU game. The previous high was at Ohio State in 1977 in front of a crowd of 88,119.
• The two squads combined for 80 points -- the most in the history of the Red River Rivalry. The 873 combined yards of total offense is the third-most in series history.
• Outscoring Texas 7-3 in the first quarter of today's contest, OU has yet to give up a first-quarter touchdown this season. The Sooners have scored 110 points in the opening period through six games, while limiting opposing offenses to a pair of field goals (Texas and TCU).
• The OU defense recorded four sacks, the second-most in series history.
Sam Bradford
• Bradford's second touchdown pass of the game set an NCAA record for most touchdown passes by a quarterback in their freshman and sophomore seasons with 56. Bradford broke Rex Grossman's (Florida) previous NCAA mark of 55 in his first two years with the Gators (2000-2001).
• Bradford's three first-half touchdown passes marked his fourth game this season with three or more touchdown passes and 12th of his career in 20 starts.
• Bradford's five passing TDs and 387 passing yards were the most by either squad's quarterback in the 103-year series history.
• Bradford's recorded five touchdown passes for the fifth time in his career and third time this season.
• Bradford surpassed the 5,000 yard mark in career passing yards with his 387 yards today. The sophomore has thrown for 5,173 yards in his career, the fourth-most in school history.
Jermaine Gresham
• Gresham caught five passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. His 17 TD receptions is the most by an OU tight end, surpassing Trent Smith's record of 16 (1999-2002).
Manuel Johnson
• Johnson caught six passes for 85 yards and three TDs today. The senior has snagged 16 passes for 383 and seven touchdown's in the last three games.
• Johnson became the first OU player to record three TD receptions in the history of the series.
DeMarco Murray
• Murray tallied 139 yards on five kickoff returns, the fourth-most yardage in program history.
• Murray's 34-yard reception in the first quarter marked a career long.
DeMarcus Granger
• Granger recorded a pair of tackles in his first action since OU's 55-14 win at Washington. The DT had sat out of the previous two contests with a foot injury.
Travis Lewis
• Travis Lewis recorded a career-best 19 tackles, tying Brian Bosworth (Nebraska - 1984) for the OU freshman single-game tackle record.
Juaquin Iglesias
• Iglesias recorded his 38th-straight contest with a reception, finishing the day with 92 yards on seven receptions. His 38 consecutive games with a catch is currently third-most in the NCAA.
