NORMAN, Okla. - The OU women's gymnastics squad welcomed their families back to campus over the weekend as the squad hosted Parents' Weekend.

The weekend's festivities included a tailgate party for the gymnasts and their families before the OU vs. TCU football game, an autograph session with the Big 12 Champs at the pre-game Sooner Fan Fest and a halftime ceremony where the squad received their 2008 championship rings from OU President David Boren and VP/ Director of Athletics
Joe Castiglione, in front of a sellout crowd of 85,158 - the fourth-largest attendance in OU history.

The parents joined their daughters in the stands for the 35-10 Sooner victory over No. 23 TCU that propelled Oklahoma to its current No. 1 ranking.

"It was great to have the families of our athletes together this weekend," said head coach K.J. Kindler. "We plan of this being a long-time tradition for the Sooner Gymnastics Team and it was great that they could be here this weekend to see their daughters rewarded on the field for all of their hard work last season."
