The U.S. Women finished the Pan American Games tournament with a 3-2 record. Brazil played Cuba in the women's gold-medal match on Thursday.

"I am really proud of how our team played throughout the tournament," said Sue Woodstra, who is serving as head coach of the U.S. Women's National Team at the Pan American Games. "I saw great improvement. We have young players getting valuable experience. The Pan American Games was a chance to see them in a great atmosphere and evaluate them."
