BOWL NOTES
• Oklahoma finishes the season with an 11-3 record and a Big 12 Championship. The Sooners own a 24-15-1 mark in bowl games. OU played in its eighth consecutive bowl game under Bob Stoops, tying the school record set from 1975-1982.

• OU played in its first overtime game since Oct. 22 when it beat Baylor in double overtime, 37-30. It was only OU's third overtime in school history and first ever in a bowl game. The Sooners lost their first overtime game in school history.

• Tonight's game marked Oklahoma's sixth appearance in a dome. The Sooners played in the 2004 Sugar Bowl in the Louisiana Superdome (lost to LSU, 21-14) as well as the 1968 (lost to SMU, 28-27) and 1970 (tied Alabama, 24-24) Astro-Bluebonnet Bowls at the Houston Astrodome. They won over Minnesota at the HHH Metrodome in 1985 and nipped Syracuse in the Carrier Dome, 30-29, in 1994.

This game also marks the second time Oklahoma has played in a stadium with a retractable roof. The other was Houston's Reliant Stadium in the 2003 Big 12 Championship Game. The roof was open for that contest.
