Track Team Arrives for Big 12 Meet

LINCOLN, Neb. The University of Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams arrived for the Big 12 Outdoor Championships Thursday afternoon eager to improve on program best finishes during the indoor season.

Watch video of the Sooners' trip to Nebraska as junior Marcus Pugh, the Big 12's No. 1-ranked sprinter, takes control of the video camera for the athlete's unique perspective.

The Big 12 Championships get underway at 1 p.m. Friday for the first event of the men's decathlon.  Mitch Henry and Matt O'Connor represent the Crimson and Cream in the multi-event that kicks off the competition.

Former volleyball star Anna Monsen competes in the heptathlon while Kevin Bookout (men's discus), Aja Clark (women's 10,000-meter run) and Carolyn Winchester (women's discus) complete the first day's action.
