Baseballs Doubleheader Cancelled

NORMAN, Okla. The Oklahoma baseball team's doubleheader against Texas Arlington on Tuesday was cancelled due to wet field conditions at L. Dale Mitchell Park, after inclement weather hit the Norman area Monday night and Tuesday.
"We are disappointed because we wanted to play these games," said OU head coach Sunny Golloway. "The weather left us no choice with standing water in the outfield and that puts the player's safety at risk."
The games will not be made up and the Sooners will return to action this weekend against Oklahoma State.
The Bedlam Series begins in Tulsa, Okla. at Drillers Stadium on Friday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. Games two and three will be held at the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City at 7:35 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.
